What is the ETA of the HW amp?

Make arrangements with Jim (hd-dude) so that he can have his bike at the shop.....take a ride over to Hayward and hear it first hand.

Jim can tell you when the release is due, if it hasn't been already.  That was back in mid June when we all heard it.

I know this is a very outdated post but if any of you still have interest I installed a jl 400/4 on my 08 ultra with stock radio with absolutely zero problems. Had to do a little work but nothing major. All you need is a dremel tool and some time.

it may be a bit off topic - but how are experiences with the new HW system compared to the old one?

The HW amps that are discussed in this thread have changed. The new amps are even better and two ohm stable. They also have an optional wired remote that is used to adjust the gain and crossover settings. This is a huge benefit as they can now be dialed in with the fairing closed.

The new series amps are the units that I put into my RG.

That actually IS pretty huge.
I might have to get one just to test it out.

Also, I have a new Kenwood amp on pre-order. 4x100w into 2ohms.
Specs look good and AMAZINGLY thin (1.32").

Not available yet but maybe the first part of May.
Will, as always, post up any news.
