starters,id

have an 07 flhtc ,may need starter,unit drags when starting ,hot or cold has mcr heads ,103 ,204 cams,new batt and cables,soaked the cr's,still drags,put a load tester on it shows fine,confused !!!!!!!!! looked at starters on ebay,what will fit  ??  :nixweiss:

Your fitment will be 2007 and newer.  06 and prior years is an entirely different starter.  No interchange.

The exception to this is Dynas.  They got the "new" starter in 2006.

You may also want to look at the higher output version of the Harley starter, rated at 1.4kW (it's the one they install on the CVO bikes).  The current Harley part number for one to fit a late model Touring bike is 31619-06A in black.  They also sell a chrome version for an extra hundred bucks.
