I had local HD dealer install powerpac when they installed D&D pipes.  I had terrible leak develop and found that there was no sealant or clamps used on the initial install.  I used thread sealant for the hose fittings and clamps for the hoses.  This stopped the leak but I still have to check the underside of the filter during fuel fills to wipe any excess oil accumulation.  This is manageable but it sounds like the S&S will work when I figure out which cams to install over the winter.
