Does anyone know if you can purchase a larger backing plate for the Ventilator Air Cleaner?  I see they do have a different part number (29400039) for those with a 58mm throttle body, but can the backing plate be purchased separately?  thanks for your help!

From the instruction sheet for the Ventilator kits:

P/N  29763-09   -    Backplate assembly, 2.28 inch (58 mm) opening (for kits 29490-09 and 29915-09)

P/N  29400038   -   Backplate assembly, 2.52 inch (64 mm) opening (for kit 29400039)

MSRP for either runs about $80, or about $65 from the discount dealers.  You might want to verify those sizes in the descriptions I copied from the sheet, the second part number for instance is listed on the dealer parts sites as 58mm, not 64.  Typical Harley, misleading info even in their official documents.

The  29400038 PN is the one you need for the 27713-08 SE 58mm Throttle body. 

As Jerry indicated, the installation sheet shows it being 64mm while the HD online stores lists it as 58mm.   

The diameter of the 29400038 PN is actually 2.52 inches (64mm).  The throat of the 27713-08 58mm throttle body is actually 64mm at the air cleaner and tapers down to 58mm just before reaching the butterfly. 

Because of this, the 64mm 29400038 is a perfect fit for the 58mm throttle body.

You may also need to replace the 4 o-rings (PN 11292) and 1 gasket (PN 29241-08).
