GPS module install
« on: May 16, 2013, 09:51:30 PM »

I have a 2013 road glide custom, I have a GPS module that I got from 09 ultra. I tried to install it into this new bike, but it didn't accept it in the slot. I didn't want to force it in, but is it some HD BS the will not allow it to fit.

Per the folks at Iron Cross (who actually work inside these radios) after mid 2011 the radios no longer even have the socket inside to accept the GPS module.

Yeah with by the shop today to ask, they said something similar. HD stopped offering it back in 11, and the manuals dont even address it.

Nor do they support it with updated maps, etc.  It kind of went over like a turd in a punch bowl when they came out with it.  Compared with even the cheapest GPS units available, even at that time, it pretty much sucked.
