I have a new2me 2010 FLHXSE.  It has the hydraulic clutch.  I did searches on here and found information about these clutches (some pro, some con) since I had never had one without a cable before.  My question is "did the 2010 FLHXSE come with a hydraulic clutch from the CVO team?"  The reason I asked is that is does have the normal hole with rubber grommet in the fairing.  The Previous owner added a lot of chrome and I am thinking he may have had it switched over to the hydro clutch.  Anybody know?  I can't find it listed anywhere.  Thanks

The CVO's come standard with the hydraulic clutch.  The fluid line on mine is routed through that hole in the fairing you mentioned, and I assume that hasn't changed but with Harley anything can happen.  Often if people change out the handlebars they don't route the line through the fairing to keep from having to buy a longer line.

My 2010 SESG came with a hydraulic clutch routed the way you described.. through the fairing. Other than being painted there is nothing different between the CVO & Non CVO fairings.

As Jerry stated, the CVO's come with the Hydraulic Clutch.

The engagement point on the clutch lever is probably different than what you may be used to, but you'll get used to it.  A Hydraulic Clutch is virtually maintenance free, other than perhaps flushing the line every two or three years, as you would your brake fluid.  No adjustment is necessary.  The only thing to be mindful of is that as the clutch wears (this takes a good long while unless you do burnouts or abuse the clutch), the fluid level in the handlebar reservoir will INCREASE, so check it once a year or so to make sure it's not too full.  It is opposite of the brake fluid in that regard.

Personally, I can find no fault with a hydraulic clutch...no cable to break out in BFE somewhere.

Thanks for the quick answer guys. Your responses are very helpful and I have gotten used to the clutch. It is different but I like it.
