Rusty Ventilator
« on: June 04, 2013, 06:29:43 AM »

My ventilator filter element has rust spots on the filter material.  Dealer noticed it when doing the 1000 mile service and replaced it.  Now its back again.  I don't use any special cleaners on the bike and I put the rain sock on before I wash the bike and immediately remove the sock when the wash is done so it air dries quickly.  Anyone else notice a problem with theirs or have a solution?

Plus, the standard air filter for the ventilator is around $50 bucks.  The K&N was only $12 bucks more and lasts much longer..... :2vrolijk_21:
