Metzler 888's
« on: May 20, 2013, 10:59:09 PM »

Been out for a bit now, anybody had a chance to try them?  Going to need tires soon and looking for feedback from someone who has put some miles on these.

I put them on this spring, only have about 1000 miles on them but I like them so far.  I had the Traxxion AK20's rebuilt this winter and I'm running 13" Bitubo's with the Baker + 1 oil pan that came with the True Track system.  Lately I have been able to increase my lean angle to the point of grinding the True Track swivel on the pan.  I have always scraped floor boards and the arms to the floor boards when I'm riding solo.  I did add 2 more pounds per the manuals recommendation.  Rides a little harder but I don't want to deal with tire cupping.  They are somewhat smaller, my Wheeldock had to be shimmed for the front, the Dunlops use to fit real tight.  I hope these tires work out for us as I would love to never put a Dunlop on anything. Right now the bike has never handled as well in tight corners so at this point I'm satisfied.

That's what I have been getting on the 880's (actually closer to the 8K).  Hoping the 888's will be better.
