I'm going to give Brad Penn 20W50 motorcycle oil a shot and see what happens.

Good Choice, IMO I would recommend their 20w50 High Performance Oil http://penngrade1.com/Products/High-Performance/SAE-20W50.aspx  over the motorcycle specific oil. It has a better additive pack.
I have used it for a lot of miles and years. I have tried a lot of oils, keep going back to this one.

That non-bike stuff is the semi-synthetic...I'll probably use that eventually, but I want to try the dino motorcycle oil first (plus I bought a whole case already). I just did the first oil change with the Brad Penn- hard to say if anything is noticably difference since I basically have a new, quiet engine now after the engine work I just had done, but I'm sure it will do just fine.

Completely understand.
Keep us informed on how you like the oil.  :2vrolijk_21:
