« on: June 16, 2013, 09:03:09 PM »

I ordered a RB racing pipe on april 10 th. needless to say they can not give me an answer to when it will be done.I wanted to know if i can change the cam and run the V&H slipons that are on the bike now.I will download somethig close from the SE tuner untill I get the pipe and a dyno tune. The cam I want to use is the genisis 577 from GMR.

The cam with a set of slip ons may really work very well  for power  ;)

Have done what seems like thousands pf dynas and softails with CC slip ons mufflers with stock head pipes.  What RB did you order?

Hey CVO 1717, I will be waiting to hear about how you like this cam, after it is installed.  Sounds very promising.

That sucks on having to wait on pipes.  Will you be DIY tuning this bike?  If so, maybe throw on a different set of pipes, tune it, and when the new pipes come in, tune it again?

I do not want to pay $695 2x for the tune.I want to use a download that's close and then when I get the pipes have it done on a dyno

IMO that 124 challenge pipe is too much pipe for a 110.  Those things are 2 inch head pipes into a 2 1/4 collector.

I have R&B Racing pipes on my CVO BREAKOUT  2-1 SPYDER SLASH CUTS. They sound GREAT. I waited also but it was winter in New England. They are not excessively load but are deep & Throaty. They definitely are a bit independent and not all that receptive to inquires.Regardless,I'm glad I waited.
