CVO Paint
« on: June 08, 2013, 11:57:55 AM »

I would like to paint my Kury license plate frame in Roman Gold.  Is there any way to purchase paint from HD or do I need to go to a body shop and try to match it?

A good painter should have no problem matching it.

You might get some touch-up paint from the dealer, it's expensive

I bought some touch-up paint and for the tri-pack it was $35.  One for each color on Petunia.

I am looking to have some aftermarket parts painted to match the Roman Gold/Burnt Emerald.  After speaking with Gunslinger who paints the RG as well as the dealer where I bought it and Harley customer service, I'm basically being told it is proprietary to Harley and that Gunslinger is not permitted to paint any parts that we may send to them to match these paint colors.  Harley won't even ship the parts to them for me to have painted.  So if it isn't a Harley color matched part that you can order from them, you may as well forget having Gunslinger paint it to match.  Additionally Harley nor Gunslinger will sell paint or the codes for you to use by another painter.  You may get touch up paint from your Harley dealer at the cost of like $50 for a small ounce or so of each color paint.  Nice to see that Harley is so customer friendly especially to those who have paid the extra money for the CVO bikes they sell.  Heck, they didn't even offer to charge me for them to be the middleman in such a situation so I guess they don't want to make some extra money from us either.  Sure would be interesting to share with the investors in Harley that they wouldn't take CVO owners up on making extra money by merely shipping parts to/from their specialized painters.  They could easily be making millions across the world on such a task by the CVO owners.

If anyone comes across a reputable painter who can match these colors, please share with everyone so they can rake in the money on their expertise.

I am looking for a Roman Gold/Burnt Emerald painter, as well.  Keep me posted on efforts and I will do the same.

Joe at Xtreme Dimensions - (856) 740-5020 has matched the paint on some other's I've found to include the Roman Gold/Burnt Emerald colors.  I've spoken with Joe on the phone getting a very reasonable price quote on paint as well as to understand he sells aftermarket parts at reasonable prices which also cuts out on one shipping cost if you haven't purchased the part yet.  Feel free to call him cause I think he is going to start getting busy with work now that others are finding out that he can match the CVO paints we have.
