Hi everyone, I've just picked up a 2012 CVO Electra Glide with 800 miles on the clock  but the battery is charging intermittently. Some of the time the dash gauge is reading normal 14 v and then , for no reason it will drop to about 12 v and eventually the engine warning light and battery light will come on. The book says there could be an earthing problem, any ideas on where to start looking?

Has the voltage regulator recall been done yet?

Many of the 12 touring bikes had defective voltage regulators.  That should be covered under warrantee to get that replaced,,    Mine went out too

Thanks Guys, really helpful, she is on her way back to the dealer which means Ill have to wait !!!
I will check with the dealer that all updates are carried out.

Mine too, dealer was able to repair in same day I called. Voltage regulator issue...
