Sticking electronic throttle
« on: July 29, 2013, 09:24:31 PM »

Throttle is sticking.  It's not the grip but the electronic device in the end of the handlebar, it seems to be binding.  Anyone else had this issue.  Bike is a 2012 Softail CVO SE3 2000 miles.

Mine doesn't stick but it is not smooth. It sort of creaks between positions.

I'm interested in any fixes!

I've had the same problem twice now on my FLHXSE3.  Worked fine for a few months then started sticking, put in a new throttle sensor and the same thing happened again.  Fine for a couple of months then started sticking, it's like the sensor loses its lubrication.   Tried soaking it with WD40, waste of time.   I think MOCO sourced a bad bunch of sensors from their supplier.  It's still under warranty so I'll be taking it in to be replaced again.

Creaking, sticking:  same thing
