Does the fairing have to come off to install to Harleys daymaker headlight on road glide. Thanks

Yes. See here:  DayMaker Headlight Installation for Road Glide

And, with the flash on with the camera and the lights off on the bike
Just found this thread.........Hey PeteW, I like the looks of yours better than the Daymakers. How do they compare in brightness?

Day makers on my '12 ultra.  Fairing did not come off.  Very simple adjustment for low/high beam.  Spots compliment.  I bought the blacked out version.  LEDs do not use or need reflector mirrors as standard bulbs or halogens do.

Well if you did not take faring off how did you get metal plate in to help support the weight of the lights?

Easttnrhino...On the '12 Ultra Glide, I took off the headlamp ring, removed the headlamp, took out the screws from the outside for the support bracket (attached to the fairing) and screwed on the new support ring (from the outside), plugged in the lamp, inserted the lamp and then made the adjustments.  Simple.  The fairing is tapped so the ring can be removed without removing the fairing.

You are better than me i tried it on my 11 model but steel bracket that goes behind the fairing and helps support the extra weight of the light i had to take outer fairing to install  mine.
