Visor Headlamp Trim Ring 69733-05
« on: October 01, 2006, 01:11:22 PM »

Anybody get this for their '07?  I liked the look of it so I got the full visor trim ring set.

The only problem is that it sits at least 1/4" away from the bulb.  just begging for any kind of bug or debris build up inside of the trim ring.

The stock ring has a nice tight setup with a rubber gasket around it that fits snug.

I don't know about the one you're speaking of, but I do have one on mines that is similar. It's Headlamp Trim Ring Part # 69627-99, and I don't have any great problems w/bug debris. There will occasionally be a bug that gets between the ring and bulb, but they are easy to get out w/soap and water.

I have the same trim rings on the spots also.

I had the ones that D00d showed the part number for.  Then saw the visor ones and liked them so much better swapped one for the other.  So have had them literally side by side.  Where they go around the lamp housing they're the same.  The only difference is the "brim" or "visor" area up front.  Mine fit fine too.

Did I read the instruction right in the link - these sit OVER the stock trim ring?? (Rather than replacing it)

I also put the "hooded" headlight trim rings on. The passing and turn signals fit great, it is just the headlight that has a gap. Even took to dealer for unrelated issue and had them check, and they couldn't do any better than I had.

I also put the "hooded" headlight trim rings on. The passing and turn signals fit great, it is just the headlight that has a gap but, if you have one person push on and squeeze the trim ring you will get a better seal and closer gap.
