Camera/Video on Bike
« on: August 03, 2013, 12:51:39 PM »

Just got back from Sturgis and noticed an increasing number of riders with camera systems mounted to their engine guards.  Thought it would be cool to video the twisty rides. VizonXtreme had a vendor tent at Black Hiils HD and was selling a remote control waterproof camera/video kit for $299.  Anyone have a review of their product?

GoPro is the CADILLAC, they stand behind there products, they make stuff that works and if sign up @ Daytona (and probably Sturgis) they will send u a email with a $100 off coupon.
Just an amazing product, Bolt it on then work it from your smart phone. You do not have to be close to the unit to use it, just open the app and have at it, or turn it on the unit itself.

I just got a camera that is mounted in sunglasses (3 lens supplied- clear, yellow, progressive) and has a hand held unit that you can download the video/pix you take which are on the 8gig micro card. I thought of going GoPro but like the idea that I can video what I'm looking at rather than a static mount. Whole thing, including charge, cable, everything was just $275.

I had the same feeling about videoing what I'm looking at, so I went with mounting to the side of my helmet the ContourHD 3 years ago - and love it... However you have now got me thinking of the cool sunglass idea.

Could you please supply more info on the make and where to purchase this product?  Thanks!
