Lower Fairing Speakers
« on: August 13, 2013, 02:04:54 PM »

I am thinking about adding the Harley Boom lower fairing speakers to my 2013 CVO Ultra. I was wondering would they fit, what parts do I need and most importantly "ARE THEY WORTH IT." Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Andy

It depends on your definition of "worth".  ;)

Harley's Boom speakers are worthless.  DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM!

There are numerous after-market speakers that are both cheaper and better:  HAT, Focal, Hawg wired, Polk come to mind.

Don't expect a huge difference with lower speakers while moving.  That majority of sound comes from your upper fairing speakers.  Spend your money there.

x2.  I have the J&M set up with the 7.25" Rokkers in the Fairing and the lowers and you can't hear the lowers at all.  Only when you stick socks in the fairing speakers can you begin so to hear the lowers, standing still.  Total waste of money unless you run considerably more power to the lowers.  For the cost of that lower kit, I would have been much better off getting better speakers for just the fairing and the rear.  I'm actually thinking about taking them out and getting my cubbies back.
