so just go order a new bolt,  clean up the heads and see if that cures the problem?

It appears from the photo's that some oil is leaking from around that bolt head, so I would suggest you try that first.  You need part number 1090A, which is the latest version of the flange head bolt used for the center location.  Thoroughly clean the sealing surface on the case after you remove the old bolt, then install the new one and torque it to spec.  Clean all the oil stains from the case and ride for awhile to see if the base gaskets (rings) are actually leaking as well.

I went up to the dealer yesterday to have them take a look at the staining. I made a mistake in a prior post, my factory warranty expires on 8/22/13. After a brief conversation they agreed to replace the base gaskets while I still have the factory warranty. They mentioned cleaning up the area and riding the bike a few more times to see if the leak gets worse but in the end they did the right thing and scheduled the repair before the factory warranty expires which saved me $50 bucks.

The "square" cylinder base O-ring, has been a source of weepage in the past.
