Holmes County Ohio
« on: August 25, 2013, 07:41:46 PM »

Left Toledo Ohio on Friday morning with the destination of Dover, Ohio. Spent Friday and Saturday exploring the beautiful, rolling hills oh Holmes County. Take a look at our stops.

Heini's Cheese factory off route 39. On Saturday they don't make cheese but the factory is still amazing

If you can imagine a type of cheese they have it. Pizza cheese, Vidallia onion cheese, chili cheese...

Judy met a new friend Molly

Ate a lot of amazing Amish cooking. My favorite stop in Charm, Ohio. The cream corn is amazing and the meat loaf melts in your mouth. Their chicken, which is what they are known for, is fall off the bone incredible.

The area takes you back in time. When is the last time you saw a telephone booth?

Lehman's Hardware is not just your typical hardware. They have everything from candy, to wood stoves, garden tools to cook ware. It is so worth the stop.

Need an Amish buggy? Lehman's has it

Modern stove without the modern look.

It takes two buildings to hold it all

Lots of great riding in that area. Too bad I had to work yesterday or we would have joined you.  :wall: There's plenty more to see down that way too. Heading north from that restaurant in Charm there used to be a "phone booth" in a fenced in field. It didn't even have a sign on it. I noticed it because of the box on the outside of the building (you see odd stuff like that when you do it for a living) and just started laughing.
