What have I done?
« on: August 28, 2013, 03:02:23 PM »

as i mentioned in an eralier thread I decided to sell my '12 CVO SG. Loved the bike and made it my own. But I know me and I like the new mods that HD has made on the '14's so it is only a matter of time. Good news is the buyer is a stand up guy and it is going to someone who will really care for her.  Now, however, what do I do.  Choices I see are (not in preference order) wait for the new (hopefully) CVO SG, wait for the new (hopefully) CVO RG or get the Limited CVO and mod it into a SG.  Is that even possible anymore considering turn signals are in TP?  If anyone knows i would appreciate it. what i do know is waiting a full year to see "if" new CVO's are introduced is going to torture me.   :o

i hope you have another bike to ride in the meantime?

from what i have heard, there is going to be a tourpack quick disconnect kit that will include turn signals that you install in the filler panels between the saddlebags and fender.  the bad news is don't know when that will be.  the good news is it doesn't sound like this is something that you're going to do this week.  maybe next?  :2vrolijk_21:

Check out HD.com.  The CVO Limited (FLHTKSE) has turn signals on the fender.  The normal Limited(FLHTK) is the one that is missing them(FLHTCU, too).

ah, yes. I see that now.  I was looking at the normal Limited.  Still unsure if I should go that route and mod into a SG (less than ideal approach) or wait and see what happens mid year or next year.

Don't by the CVO Limited, unless you want to sell it too when what you really want comes along.  It's not going to be long before the RG is reintroduced into the wild, and I know it's going to be very hard to resist that temptation when it's there.

Winter's not long off (sad).  The amount of time you'll be out of riding are a worthy wait to get what you really want.

BTW, congrats on the sale of your SESG.  I'm sure it's hard to let it go!
