Arc Audio mini, 2 Channel amp, run with 2 or 4 speakers?
« on: September 05, 2013, 04:38:23 PM »

Looks like you can run the rear speakers in parallel with the front off the Arc audio 2 channel amp mini.  Sounds like the biggest drawback is you lose the fader option.

Alternatively, the instructions mention that the rear speakers can be plugged into the stock harness and run those from the head unit, while the fronts are running off the amp.  Intuitively this seems odd to me - wouldn't the rear speakers offset some of the quality sound from the front that way, or does it really not matter since most of the sound heard is coming from the front (while traveling at highway speeds)?

I can try both and see what is best, but wanted to run these two options across the board first - any feedback?

Arc Audio makes a mini amp that is 4 channel as well, 75w/channel.

I've got mine set up so that the stock amp's rear channels are running the two rear speakers.  Upfront, the stock amps front wires are the high-level inputs for the 125.2.  The output from the 125.2 run the Fairing speakers and the Lowers speakers in series.  As a result, the fade works normally.
