I just bought it to replace my stock, plastic enclosed, backing plate on my Deuce which I was having sealing issues with. Now it seals and fits well. The filter appears to be just an OEM K&N made for Ness. Don't know if that's what you were wondering about. It does stick out a tiny bit more but I only notice it because I kept my stock AC cover which extends back towards my leg and is not the football shaped nor round.

Get the BSII with the billet cover.  More surface area and a nice shiney cover!!!

I had the Big Sucker II and just switched to the Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather it looks like a Forcewinder but with a lot more chrome. They just came out in the latest Screamin Eagle catalog.  They look awesome.   The big challenge I had with the Big Sucker was that the studs that the filter bolted up to would come lose even with loctite and once even broke off in the backing plate.  It was always needing to be tightened and you could here the air flowing in it.  The Screamin Eagle makes no noise.  The only downside is you aren't supposed to use lowers with it.  I don't know it's true I haven't tried it yet.
