Steve,  Whats the difference in power between the two if any?

That all depends on the power level and combination of parts. At 100 HP, the larger ID of the 2.25 and 2.25 SD core
will start to move the TQ curve to the right. At 80 HP, you should be running a 2.0 core, the larger stuff will hurt power everywhere.
At 120 HP the 2.25 starts working really well. But,if being loud is more important than being fast, go big.
I attached a recent stock VS stage I CVO dyno chart. DX Pipe with 2.0 cores. The shape of the TQ curve is as smooth
and linear as it gets. If you run heavy all day long, this is the type of power you want.

I am very happy with the DX head pipe and 2.25 SD cores on my 13 King.  Not to loud for riding on highway, or easy around town.  The do bark and get LOUD when you twist it hard.   8)

I am a little over 121 HP and 121 Torque SAE with 5 smoothing.

The 2.25 cores with DX head pipe on my wifes 13 Street Glide with the 103 are a lot quieter at idle and getting on it.  I am sure some has to do with motor size, and lots has to do with added compression and head work on my bike.

Really should have gone with the 2.0 on her bike but she wanted louder.

here's a picture of the fullsac 2.25SD the difference is the cuts only go half way  on the normal 2.25 cuts go the whole length of the core
