How to remap PC-V
« on: September 26, 2013, 10:43:30 PM »

I had a PC-V installed on my 2006 SEUC and can't tell much difference in performance.  I contacted Fuelmoto and they emailed me a new map.  They asked to see how the new map performs.  Problem is I am not sure how to download the new map onto the PC-V on the bike.  Do I plug into the PC?  I would appreciate if someone could run me through the process.
Thanks

With the Power Vision system, the Power Vision acts as an interface between the computer and your bike.  You have to first load the calibration onto the Power Vision from your computer, then install the calibration onto your bike from the Power Vision.  Here's how the process (I'm doing this by memory, so it may not be exact):

1. Open the WinPV program, then open the calibration through that program.
2. Attach the Power Vision to your computer using the USB cable.
3. Once the Power Vision screen shows that the PV is linked to the computer, select send tune to PV under the Power Vision tab at the top of the screen.
4. This will prompt you to select one of the 6 slots in the Power Vision to save the tune, select one and save.
5. Unplug the PV from your computer, and plug the data line to your bike.
6. Turn key on, and make sure that the kill switch is in the run position.
7. select program vehicle (upper right corner) on the PV screen.
8. select custom tunes from the PV screen.
9. select the slot that you saved the custom calibration in.
10. verify that you want to proceed by selecting continue.
11. select flash.
12. agree to clear learned fuel points
13. follow any additional the on screen instructions, then turn off the bike to allow everything to reset.
14. wait at least 10 seconds after shutdown, then bike can be started with new calibration installed.
15. done

You need to wear a long flowing white robe to read "Roman" properly.  ;D
