Not sure if it's true; I was told to buy the highest octane gas available for lawn mowers, yard tools etc. They claim the higher octane gas has less ethanol. The big box stores are now selling pure 95 octane gas in small cans claiming no ethanol and a one year shelf life. Only wish I could buy that fuel out of a pump for my bike.

There are a few stations near me that sell gas with no ethanol. Check this website for one near you
http://www.buyrealgas.com/. Sometimes the octane rating is not as high as premium with ethanol, most being around 90 though. I'm not sure about the claim that higher octane contains less ethanol because ethanol is an octane booster. It has a higher octane rating than gasoline so the higher octane premium gas blends may actually contain more ethanol than regular.
