Okay so I am wondering about the whole vest concept. (Not counting club colors) most HOG members seem to wear the vest with pins, patches, and other stuff from places they been. Does anyone actually wear this stuff anymore?

I have to admit that I had one once, actually twice. First time was club colors second time was just with patches and stuff from traveling to events.

Just found it cleaning out some old MC stuff making room for new MC stuff. My first reaction was to dispose of it, either that or join a HOG chapter

I have a drawer full of patches and pins that have never found their way onto a vest or jacket.  Maybe someday?

Since Colors 40yrs ago the only vest I have is for PGR. It has only 1 patch....a large "Rememberance Patch" on the back.

I still see a fair amount of vests with patches and pins out there.

I have nothing against pins nor patches... they just aren't really my thing. I do have a vest with a big patch honoring our armed forces on the back, but I have no pins nor patches on my leather riding jacket, and probably never will.

I have two different vests with assorted pins and patches. No club colors. Have not worn either vest on a regular basis for a very long time. It got to be a pain to get the patches put on, I think I have a bunch of pins and patches that need to be put on but I guess I lost interest in the vest. Seems it was either to hot or to cold so I didnt bother wearing them.

I got it all on my vest. The main patch on the back is Red Knights.

Lot's of vests with pins and patches in this area. I think many people want to look like a veteran longtime and well traveled biker, not some RUB or rookie rider. I guess the same for leathers, most don't want shiny new leather, they want worn faded old look.
I compromise and wear a vest with patches when riding in group or parade, otherwise my solo riding jackets don't have patches or pins. I collect pins in a drawer but not on my vests or jackets. I like not worrying about pins falling off or needing to be removed to launder the garment.

Well the wife and I do when attending H.O.G. events and club rides and have patches from various places and events sewn all over. I think the patches on a vest or jacket really depend on the person. Some have one or two others are loaded down with them. To each their own.

I got my fill of badges and patches in Boy Scouts. Just don't see the need for them now.
