Great news for this issue.

I found a bluetooth adapter that plugs into the 30 pin connector. It is designed to make the 30 pin speaker docks work with the new phones. I just plugged one into my IPOD connector and now my iphone phone streams music, pandora radio and turn-by turn commands from the GPS map.!! They are about $25 and the size of a IPOD nano.

Anymore info on that?

Anyone find a Bluetooth adapter that will output to a HSP?

HSP = HeadSet Profile

Basically, that is the profile radios use to "talk" to what ever, iPones, pods MP's etc. What I am looking ot do is to have my Nosy head unit actually connect to my Nolan helmet with music.

The phone works, but without the HSP it will not stream tunes. My guess is the lack of a HSP has to do with people using head phones etc in a car.

I have literally spent months on this forum as well as talking to several dealers about (1) how to get a Garmin hooked up correctly thru my 2011 SESG and (2) how to get the new I5 to work on my bike, as the Lightning to Pin adapter does not work with th iPod integration kit.

Well here it is...and it cost $20!  Buy on eBay, Amazon, etc the EDUP EP-B3502 Bluetooth stereo receiver, and plug it in to your Aux jack (3.5mm) on the front of your radio.  It is a fully self contained unit, smaller than a pill box. No wires hanging at all.  Pair it with your iPhone 5 and bam...you're set.  Play all of your iPod music right through your speakers.

Now, you ask about Nav?  I have the FREE MapQuest app on my phone.  I set my destination, Turn on the music and when the Nav app has a direction, it lowers the music and then raises it back after the verbal instruction.

As for power, the unit charges off of a USB cable so you can charge it on your computer or get a USB cigarette lighter charger and charge on the bike!

Gotta love America. I figure I just saved myself close to $1,000?

Cyco, great idea and the info is much appreciated.  I  have a Verizon iPhone 5 and it came with the 30 pin to lightning adapter.  I can still use all of my old accessories, and it plugs right into the factory saddlebag 30 pin connector.  I have full iPod control with the handle bar controls or the radio face controls.  I canned the XM and usually stream Pandora or Slacker for free.

My only issue has been with my phone overheating and shutting down on sunny days when it is in the saddlebag.  The Bluetooth idea really has me thinking that this is the way to go.
