that's really interesting, the foto of the seat plug. My 06 CUSE has two plugs on the seat and two connectors to connect to. The front portion to the seat gets really hot, even on low and my wife is always b&%$hing her seat wont heat up. I've tried swapping the connections to no avail, the front gets really toasty and the back, she says doesn't work. I guess I'll take it to the stealer and have them check it out
Maybe they will give me a credit towards a real seat (A Corbin heated seat). I just cant justify 900.00 for one in North Carolina. It doesn't get that cold, that often.... LMAO...

Better not let wifey hear you saying that, seems she may have a difference of opinion. ;D Either that or you are going to be riding in passenger seat. :o [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Mine has two connectors as well, on both the seat and the bike...both ends of my seat work, however...they got well tested in MV!!!  Toasty buns are the only way to ride when it's 30 something degrees.... [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  The grips were nice too!!

I've got a heated Corbin coming though...

So.... let your wife drive and you can sit in the back and comment on the lack of seat heat. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] ;D

Seroiusly... try testing the seat connectors with a meter to determine if voltage output is the same from both plugs in the same switch positions (High & Lo). If they aren't, chances are it's not the seat but the switch or other parts of the harness or relay(s) (if any). Suggest you also look at the shop manual as well... OR take it to the dealer and let them "deal" with it. Good luck! ;)

Diva got to liking the seat heaters so much, now she wants lumbar heat...wouldn't that be nice?  Heated seats, backrests, AND grips....damn, I must be getting old...some heat on the lower back would feel awfully good though. ;)

Take it to the dealer and it'll come back with the heat in the tourpak... ;D ;D ;D

I agree on the grips and seat....

My passenger seat does not get extremely hot, ..... but any heat in the mountains is nice ! !

Our heated seats went out as well so HD replaced them. Since then we purchased a heated Corbin.

The CVO Ultra seat differs from the H-D SunRay seat because it has two seperate heaters (front & rear) each with it's own hi-off-low switch. The two connectors on the bottom of the seat are supposed to be connected to a 'Y' adapter  which is supposed to be connected to ONE plug on the bike harness. There are two main harness plugs there the seat adapter could plug into since they are the same type. One is the plug all touring bikes have that is controlled by the Accy. switch... the other one is there specifically for the CVO heated seat. If it's plugged into the wrong one, you would have to turn on the Accy. switch AND the seat switches to get heat.

A heat gun is not really a good test because the heating elements are so deep, covered by alot of foam, which is not a great heat conductor. The best test is to verify the seat is connected to the correct plug, (or Accy. switch is ON) flip the seat switch up (HI), and go for a ride. By sitting on the seat you compress the foam, which makes it more able to transfer heat, and it gets the seat surface (and your butt) closer to the heat source.
