hydraulic clutch
« on: March 14, 2014, 05:09:53 PM »

'09 CVO Road Glide, as I get older it is increasingly harder to disengage clutch. Could be a little arthritis, especially in heavy traffic.
Is there anything I can do to help reduce strength necessary to pull in clutch lever on that hydraulic clutch.
I had a clutch assist on my '06 RG and it was a one finger operation, now my hand wants to cramp up in congested traffic.
Any help would be appreciated.
Want to ride a lot more years!!

Some people on the site have used the Clutchwiz and say it helps. You will need to change the spring as well.....here is the site...

I have one also, but have not installed it yet. I'm sure some of the members that use it will chime in.

I have it and the 480 spring ready to go in. I'm waiting on my Hayden tensioner to get here. Judy has one on her SESG and had me squeeze that lever a few times. Makes a helluva difference. :2vrolijk_21:

I have the opposite problem - throttle.  Arthritis in the thumb joint.  I love riding back roads but may have to go to more major roads where I can use the cruise control.  Getting old sucks - but it sure beats the alternative!  :2vrolijk_21:
