TTS Cal Question
« on: February 15, 2014, 02:45:50 AM »

Hi all, hope your all safe and warm over there, nasty weather your having of late.
My question is this, when you adjust the cubic inches down from say a 103" to a 97" in tuning constraints what other tables should you drop as well? I seem to remember someone mentioning that cranking fuel can be dropped by the same percentage, the reason I ask is that I recently changed cams and am using a 103" calibration dropped to 97" and every now and then on a hot start it huffs out the airfilter, I have vtuned the idle area but not the rest of the calibration as yet.
Thanks.

When the bike does start, does it start at a low RPM and climb up to idle speed or does it flare and then come down to idle speed?  This can be controled by cranking fuel and IAC crank to run.

Huffing out AC sounds a bit lean.  You can add some cranking fuel, but the flare sounds like too much IAC.  Which would add air compared to fuel.  Lower IAC by 5% and see what happens.

Why did you lower cu.in. To 97?  Did you run into some low level VE's.

Thanks mate, it's a 97" 06 dyna, just used the 103" cal to tune from as it was similar in many ways to mine except for the cc's.
