changing front brake pads on breakout
« on: August 16, 2015, 12:34:10 AM »

It looks like you need a special "star/spline" socket for the front brake bolts/pins.
anyone have any idea where to find it? looked on the net but no luck as I'm not sure what to call it.

10 mm,  12 point socket.  Usually requires a 1/2" drive.   Just got one at Home Depot.  You can replace with an Allen head if you want polished chrome.

Nothing special, just a normal ole 12 pt socket. You can buy that size in all drive sizes, 1/4, 3/8's etc. I would buy whatever size drive your torque wrench is, that way you are good to go when you reassemble.
