Akropovic Slip Ons
« on: March 21, 2014, 10:58:10 PM »

Anyone looked at these?  They also have a valve system to adjust sound.  Goes back to the early HDs with adjustable baffles.  Seen the signs about closing your baffles in town.

How does the valve affect the tune?  Seems like it would lean out with the valve open.  Tune for power with the valve open?  Close the valve when you need a quieter ride?

Akropovic has a very good reputation in the sport bike market.  I looked at these at the booth in Daytona, and was impressed with the construction quality, and how light weight they are.

I'm sure there will be lots of opinions as usual, and I appreciate all input.

Look nice, but I can't seem to get the sound clips to play.

Think I had same problem. I had to scroll down a little further on the page for actual play buttons.

I found the play buttons, but they don't do anything...did they work for you?

The sound clips played on my ipad.  Play buttons are at bottom of page.

Like $1700 for chrome/chrome with the valve.

$1,700 for a set of slip-ons?  Does HD own Akropovic?

Slip-ons only are between 1,000 and 1,200 depending on options and who you order from.  Sound reduction adjustable valve is 400 to 500.  Still pricey.
