I know there's been some talk about mounting the new style bags on pre 14 models but the question I didn't see asked/answered is what about trying to modify our current bags to accept the new style hardware? Like some kind of retro fit it or something.
I have not took one apart or even analyzed one up close so I'm pulling this out of my bung.
The hinge looks like it might be close and I realize we would have to modify the bag for the latches but in the end we'd have the newer latching setup which is supposed to be better.

Opinions and problems?
