Breakout passenger pegs constantly fall down
« on: April 14, 2014, 12:41:27 PM »

I'm sure it is not specific to the breakout but any suggestions?  I don't know why they even fold up. Mine fall within a few miles.

They do make thin shims that are bent for tension for foot pegs.

Mine do not fall down.  I replaced passenger pegs on my last bike and had that problem. I think it has to do with the tension the metal clip (spring) provides to hold the peg up.  I don't have the instructions any longer or I would tell you what they call that piece.

Last visit to the dealer, I told them about the same issue...  "No problem, we'll fix that!"

Problem gone, no (extra) charge....  Don't ask what they did.

I also had the same problem with my Rocker C. Had to push a little bit on the right passenger peg every 5000 miles.  Maybe I should have it fixed...   ;)

Thanks guys!  I'll leave the fix upto the dealer. It's in for a recall this week anyhow  :)
