Have been into a few Harley shops lately and have noticed that some have laptops or computers for use while waiting on service for the bike.

With that in mind I was in Thunder Tower H/D today in Columbia SC and set both computers to www.FLHRSEI.org
They can be easily changed but I thought maybe someone waiting for service might scroll through the site and like it. I didn't log in, just went in as a visitor.

Anyone see a problem with doing this?
Good idea or no?

A lot of the really good parts of the site can't be seen buy guests so all the enticement won't be there.  But that doesn't really hurt anything.  Only thing I can think is making sure first the machine's owners didn't mind having the homepage changed.  Just a courtesy thing.  Probably not a big deal.  But you never know  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  .

Chip,
I agree with Don and there are a lot worse things you could have changed. Their computer should be locked down from changes anyway if they were concerned about it. Your supporting the product, the site and the sport nothing wrong with that, you could have set it to whitehouse.com.

Either way if they (dealership) have a problem with it they can change it back. Like Ed said it could be a lot worse. BTW Ed the site you mentioned is good for a lot of laughs when you send some unsuspecting person there.... not that I've ever done that before. [smiley=evilgrin.gif]

I think that next time you change a computer at a Harley shop that is for customer use, and you make FLHTSEI.ORG the new homepage, you should figure out a way that it will never change, just like my computer constantly gets hijacked to default back to the Yahoo serach engine, no matter what I do.  hehe

When I ran charters I would always view my web page on the PC's in stores and then leave it for all to see  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif].

Especially  when the stores started carrying broadband (the Wiz for example).
