So I've got my V&H slip-ons to keep me satisfied for now, but I thought I'd check with Rinehart to see what progress they're making with the Crossback exhaust for the Breakout.  Email I got back today said:

"It looks to be later in the year no date to give you"

The more and more I think about it, the more I'm considering getting the V&H BR 2-2 like a lot of folks here.  I know I'll have to stand in line, but may still get them faster than waiting on Rinehart!

I had a lengthy chat with a guy at Rinehart and the only problem with the Crossbacks was they were hitting the top oil line.  He said that if I really wanted them on my bike....all I'd really have to do it either change that line to hose, have a new one bent up.  I did want to mess with the oil lines, but it seems like it can be done.

Nicky, glad you were able to at least get the "why".  I don't know if I'm willing to mess around with the oil lines just to satisfy my impatience!

So here we are...half way through September, and there's even another model year of Breakouts (both standard and CVO). I send Rinehart another message asking about the Crossback exhausts, and I get the reply "probably not until the end of the year." 

I think it is time to stop waiting on them and take my business elsewhere. I may go with the majority and order some V&H Big Radius 2-2.

I have seen cross backs on a Breakout, on the CVO Breakout Facebook page....

I know this is a very old topic but I thought it was kind of funny that Rinehart still doesn't have the Cross-Back's available for the Breakout per the email they sent me the other day. I have a 2014 CVO Breakout coming by the end of April and was torn between the Bassani Pro-Street Turn Outs, Rinehart Cross-Back's and the V & H Big Shots Staggered. Rinehart and V & H say neither will fit the Breakout so I guess Bassani gets my money. No big deal, the Bassani's look bad ass and from what I've heard, people say they sound real good and my local H-D dealer says they perform well because they're triple-stepped.
