only when in ipod mode the left front and rear speaker don't work

i had it installed at a dealer - so i will bring it back but curious if anyone knew anything about this

sounds like a couple of wires got broke in the ipod cable.  its pretty thin.  and damed expensive.

Skunk Ryder is going through this same problem.  First his HK head unit fizzled out (as did mine in Ginger after one long, rainy day coming back from SD last August).  Replaced mine, no more issues.  Replaced Skunks, and he lost the entire left side while playing his iPod as you have.  Radio, CD and all play great, no left side music when the iPod is chosen.  Changed iPods with same results so has to be the wiring.  He's been waiting for about 2 weeks now for HD to send the dealer a new cable (they already checked everything else that it could have been up to this point...it's been a long, tortuitous path getting this resolved).
Hopefully the new cable will fix his....keep us posted on your issue and good luck...
