New member signing in and saying hello. I have had several Harleys and have recently bought a black 2007 SERK, which is just beautiful. However, right off the bat there were several issues. First, on one of my first rides, the LED gas gauge showed me three lights out of seven as I ran out of gas, on a hill no less. Second, while riding for about an hour another time, the neutral light came on and stayed on as did the key light (this became a persistent issue). Third, while riding to work, the entire bike shut down and the "check engine" light came on. Bike wouldn't restart.the
I was towed to the dealer twice (thank you, Roadside Assistance!) all in the span of my first 500 miles. The gas gauge was replaced, as was the neutral switch and the cause of the total shutdown was determined to be a blown fuse that controlled the ECM (also replaced).
The bike now runs beautifully. It is the only HD I have ever had a problem with. I have no idea why this would have happened with a CVO. I hope I am back on track. Glad to be part of this forum in case I run into any other issues!
