Fork Deflectors
« on: June 02, 2014, 11:27:01 PM »

Just installed my new fork deflectors from Street-Glide.com. Makes the ride more enjoyable and less wind blasting off the lowers.

Hi Ghost Rider,
They look better IMO being tapering to the bottom then the JESCustomAccents.com Chrome squared bottom wind deflectors.
Be interesting to know if anyone has tried both brands for effectiveness.
Do the deflectors hit anywhere on full lock?

Someone at Ribfest had a set of those and while riding behind me they flashed a lot in the sun. As long as it's sunny out, they should help with visibility also.  :2vrolijk_21:

I've got a pair of the JES ones (in black).  They do a tremendously good job of knocking down turbulence, especially when I'm wearing my full face helmet.  As the weather's warmed up, I've noticed that the motor is running 10-15 degrees warmer than it was without them, and my wife gets far less airflow to the backseat.

I'll probably leave them off for the summer, then put them back on for the colder weather.

That was me old buddy, sorry for the glare.  ;D

They totally knock the airflow from coming over the top of the lowers which flows along side the tank and eventually up into your chin area. I installed them to keep from getting so much air that my prescription glasses didn't buffet so much. The JESCustoms work great and they do not interfere at all.

Like any mod; some will like it, some will hate it, some will have an alternate version to offer. It's all good to me.  :2vrolijk_21:

This picture isn't mine, but mine are identical. If you want a picture of mine I'll post it.

Yep Bubba, but less than a 6 pack, maybe a can two most unless you're funneling, LOL.

Gee thanks...  I was happy with what I had until I see your pic and now I need ( ::) ) some of these.  It was only a matter of time before the accessory bug would catch up with me.
