I purchased Aileron Heated Hand Grips Part Number: 56828-08A on the HD website where it was stated they will fit the 2013 SERK.
But on the installation instruction sheet it says that it will not fit with internally wired handle bars! So why does HD sell them then? CONFUSING !
Is it possible or not to install them? Would be great to get detailed instructions in the case I will have to do it myself because no dealer wants to do it.
Thanks for your answers.

Not sure.

I ordered the harley heated grips that are stock on the 2013 CVO Ultra and installed them on my 13 CVO King.  I am using Yaffee Monkey bars, everything wired internal.  They are stock on the 13 CVO ultra and its wired internal.  Instructions said it could not be.

The instructions for the heated grips have claimed since the first time they were offered for purchase that they could not be wired internally, and yet Harley itself has been wiring them internally on CVO Ultra's since 2006 if I remember correctly.  So much for the left hand knowing what the right hand is doing.  Obviously you can wire them internally, and many people besides Harley have done so.

There are plenty of existing threads on the site dedicated to heated grips, including some that discuss this same issue.  I'd suggest doing a search and reading some of the existing information.

Hopefully by this point you have installed your heated grips. I remember in 2001 I installed heated grips when they first hit the HD catalogs. I did it myself and the power wires were not internal. On my 08 FLHRSE 4, I had it installed by the dealership out of the crate. Last year they stop working and I am almost sure an HD mechanic disconnected something. Therefore I read the same statement and new I should have installed them myself, but a local dealership mechanic did the job. I should have done it myself. In the process he destroyed my sound system amps, my security alarm module and some switches. I saw another fellows bike and he wired the power card through the bar. If I had done the job myself, I would have done the same.
The new style grips mint new pads on all on all mounts. An additional $500 plus.
