It's also not clear that Europeans, who have until now been supplied by U.S. factories, will accept an Indian-made Harley, though company executives downplay those concerns.

I for one would NOT even entertain the thought of buying a Harley that's was made in India.
NO way,...No how.

If the company executives seem to have no concerns, then I would think their betting all their eggs on the major part of their sales will be, in house India.

I just can't see Europeans doing the switch from US Harley/Hog riders to
, Made in India Harley  :'(

IIRC, the US bikes will be made in Kansas City, the international ones will be made in India.

I dunno.  I do know that if I was 5'7", I'd be looking hard at the 750.

I would think one of the major appeals of a Harley is that it is American made (well mostly).  I would think demand would drop off if it was made outside the USA.

Q:  What is the USA's number one export to China?
A:  Trash!  They loved our high quality trash. (not any longer).

Careful there, I see a lot of big dudes riding those girls bikes. ;D

Yeah, I know ... wasn't trying to offend anyone. I was also referring to a stock sporty, not modified. The one I rode felt like a moped to me, I know you can turn them into a man's bike if you throw enough money at them, but it would still feel too small for me.

American assembled.  For years HD has told their dealers, etc. not to call them American made in ads, etc. because less than 50% of the parts are actually sourced in America.
