The scavenge side if the pump could be broken, an O-Ring could be torn. Find sumping engines with oil tank inner the tranny regularly here. Take the pipe plug out of the cases under the engine with it setting upright. Catch the oil in a measuring cup. Any more than about 5 oz is not real good. Also, when you put the plug back in, don't over tighten. It's a tapered thread and it will bust the cases if you over tighten.

I would also check all the exhaust fittings for tightness.  If you are getting a fresh air leak.  The sensor will read on the lean side, and ECM will add more fuel.

New bike or not.  They can all benefit from a good custom map for that bike.
