Anyone running NOS on there 110B?
« on: May 10, 2014, 07:34:27 PM »

Looking at putting a little gas on the Breakout, now that I'm racing it more often. Anyone already running NOS?

My experience with power adders (superchargers mainly) gave me this one takeaway:

Any ride that doesn't end on the back of a flatbed, is a good ride!

Power is lots of fun but its also $$$. It's a commitment. If I had an endless supply of money, I'd end up fragging a lot more engines.

Did I say power is fun  :2vrolijk_21:

Your fly wheels won't like it very long, but a friend of mine has it on stock wheels

No way on stock flywheels. With more emphasis on NO WAY on a B motor stock flywheels. You've got a lot of beefing up to do (prerequite stack of dough) before you and run juice. If and when you do, I'd recommend a wet system. I'm a fan of NOS and I think it got a bad rep when it was mainly used with carbs (fuel puddling, NOS metered inconsistently etc). The nice thing about NOS, it only beats on parts when you use it as opposed to high compression, high valve spring pressure, high lift cams, lifters taking a beating, pushrods flexing and more with a pumped up NA motor that takes the beating every time it's running (so to speak) but if done correctly with EFI and wet system (consistent doses of NOS and fuel correctly metered) is the key, IMO.
