Folks,

I hate the dive... had it on my '12 and was going to install Progressive Monotubes to address it.  I have them in my Sportster and they are working fine.  So when I got the 2014 RK I thought that with the new front suspension and work that Harley did on the newer bikes, that a lot of this would have been address... not the case.  So now I am looking for a better alternative to the front suspension in my '14

Progressive does not have the monotubes for the '14 touring bikes. 

Looking for stock height, not interested in lowering the bike.

What are the other options available??  Only for the front.  I am happy with the rear stock suspension in the bike.

The Traxxion AK20's will fit in the 14 tubes with no modifications of your old fork legs.  Still pricey at $1200 (just for the parts)..  I still have the stock suspension and will probably keep it that way.

Part number 45500158 for standard height: MSRP 349.95... so I can get this one from one of the vendors that offer 20% discount... hummm...

Turns out that this is the suspension in the CVO... so not an option.  I was told to start by changing the fork oil for the heavier grade first... and see if that was enough to minimize the dive before spending additional $ on suspension.

Easy and inexpensive enough to give it a try... will report back.

he makes some good comments about the viscosity.  I'm am interested in your results if you give this a try.

Is it just in the SERK's or the SE Limited's also?

Exchanged emails with Jon @ Horny Toad HD.  I was asking what discount he would give me on the premium suspension for it and he told me that this model CVO already had the premium suspension in it... Sorry, I did not ask about other models... we were talking about the FLHR CVO

I almost 100% sure the stock front forks DO NOT have the premium cartridges.

The front springs in the CVO Touring bikes do have a different part # than non CVO's, but not the premium cartridges....

The 14 CVO RK does have the premium lowered front single cartridge suspension standard

The CVO Limited does not, I know this because I installed it in mine.

I picked up some heavy fork fluid on Saturday when I took the bike for the recall.  I will change of oil over the weekend.

Putting a few more miles I can tell that the front suspension is better than the RGC CVO I had... it really dives a lot less during braking.  But if I can get it to dive just a bit less, even better.
