Road Trip Tomorrow
« on: September 21, 2014, 07:34:33 PM »

 :-\
Wish it was on my bike and more that it would be ready for a ride like this but nope,
heading from South East Texas up and over to Odessa and back!
the next day,
good thing I've got a nice truck!

got a job that needs someone to do and I've got no one to do it so hell
load it up and I'm gone!

heading across Texas in that area is pretty cool especially at night on a clear night!
had to fly to Odessa once, grab a rental and get to New Mexico the next day and due to bad weather in Houston Odessa was the only way to go, no flights direct
Man that was a Erie ride, they kept the airport open and waiting for me to get there to pick up the rental
all night across texas pan handle and new mexico not a cloud in the sky,
that god for Serious Radio! and a gas station at 398 miles, I was on fumes!

Hey Bromebe,
Good thing you took the truck. I am not sure you would have gotten 398 miles on a tank full.

1100 miles round trip in two days and
man did I find a piece of Texas that just cries Bike!

http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?encType=1&where1=Llano%2c%20Texas&cp=30.7497501373291~-98.6759414672852&qpvt=llano+texas&FORM=MIRE

I took the main highway up and then as the crow flies coming back which is Texas 71
and Llano Texas is the place to be!

only it's smack dap in the freak'n middle of Texas!
a long way to go for a ride from South East Texas
