2014 CVO Road King Baffles
« on: October 04, 2014, 06:18:05 AM »

Has anyone changed baffles in a 2014 CVO Road King and if so what is involved, my mechanic told me they are fully welded in, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also would I have to have bike tuned? Thank you.

Just did it this week on my 2014 CVO RK.

There are only two spots that the baffles are welded each about 1 inch long. Takes about 5 minutes per side to remove the weld with a proper die grinder. I went with fullsac 2 inch cores with the screens. If you go to YouTube and type in Fullsac performance there are a couple videos that describe the process of removing the baffles. You can go to fullsac.com to see what they have to offer as far as cores and screens, dyno charts etc....

The bike now sounds like it should. :)

Have fun

Hey Shrader.

Did you remove any of the stock wrapping, or put it all back with the screens?

Did you remove the a CAT from the stock pipe, or replace the header pipe?
If removed, how?

Finally, did you do the TT retune yourself with a laptop, or have it done on a dyna-run?

Ride safe.

Hey Shrader.

I used the wrapping from one muffler, cut it in half and installed 1/2 in each muffler with the screen.

Did you remove the a CAT from the stock pipe, or replace the header pipe?
I removed the catalyst from a Headpipe off a 2012 CVO that Otis had so I wouldn't have any downtime.
If removed, how?
I cut a rectangular hole in the backside of the collector, removed the catalyst with a chisel, kinda tough to get started, then welded it back up. Would have looked cleaner if I had cut it in half but was worried about getting it line back up without some sort of fixture to align it.

Finally, did you do the TT retune yourself with a laptop, or have it done on a dyna-run?
I download the TTS and installed a map that Fullsac emailed for the baffles.

Ride safe.
