I have 31K on the bike now and apparently mileage does factor in the equation.

I do not have tire and wheel coverage, so here we go

1 year added   $1049.00       ends up being $1049.00/year
2 year added   $1379.00       ends up being $689.50/year
3 year added   $1664.00       ends up being $554.66/year
4 year added   $2089.00       ends up being $522.25/year
5 year added   $2364.00       ends up being $472.80/year

I think it is good insurance if you plan to keep the bike.
If not, it is also a great selling feature!

I'm just about to turn 100k kms = 60k miles, and I'm going for another 4 years of warranty to be safe.

I wouldn't as HD would find some excuse to void the warranty

I might have given it more thought, if every time I needed it a battle was not needed.
