What do you stand on to work on a truck?
« on: January 05, 2015, 03:41:59 PM »

Saw this product on TV and thought it was a neat and safe way to work on a truck. The Elevator by Nomad Manufacturing :

What do you all use to work on tall vehicles. ( I realize it could be overkill to work on a bike)  :huepfenlol2:

I have what looks like a small step ladder. It doesn't have the top two steps though. Worked well on my F350 and equally as well on my 3500HD. I use the same ladder to tie my ladders to the cap.

Having six Ford 6.0 diesels at one time, this would have been handy. Down to two now, be glad when they are replaced. At the dealership they just jack the cabs off the frames ( have it down to a science takes less than fourty minutes ) techs tell me it's just easier to work on them. Got one truck the cabs been off five times.  :nixweiss:

Same here, works well on my Platinum F150 4x4.  Don't need it much, just turned 101,000 miles and other than oil changes and tires all i have had to do is 1 coil pack and a set of plugs last week.

This thing can come in handy in the bedroom as well. Just think of the possibilities.  I do think your neck would get  tired very fast as you have to support your head all the time.  You can rest your chin on the pad, but then cant see.  It needs a hole for your face like a massage table.  Some soft music, oils and candles... Oh I digress.  :P
