Just mulling over where my upgrade dollars should go for the start of the season. Ohlins get a good press hear for front and rear and having had them on a previous sport bike, I know that they are 'gold'. However, support seems a bit sketchy in my area of BC and of course, they don't come cheap.

Both the local independent and HD dealer speak highly of Progressive, my interest started trying to address some of the front fork dive on my 2014 RK. I ride solo and don't have any additional weight on the bike, mostly day rides, but a week tour traveling lite ever now and again.

Has anyone had the front and rear combination fitted on their 2014 tourer, if so what are your thoughts.

Thanks for your views. I assume that this was just the monotone and not the shocks? Where they an improvement over stock, but not enough to justify the spend? Just a false economy if other manufacturers deliver a superior ride, but cost more.

I liked the monotubes on my 09 Road glide, but the progressive 944 shocks were only ok.

The monotubes are also on my fatboy now. 

I am running Ohlin HD 159 on the back of the SERGU and love them.  Best shock I have used to date.

Thinking about doing them on the Rear of my SERK and doing the Ohlin front also.

I just got off the phone with a tech at Progressive Suspension.  Their monotube kit for the 2014 & 15 touring bikes should be ready for market by the end of next month.  Price between $440 and $490 US.

Thanks Greg, had some good interaction with Racetech as well on both front and rear. Will wait to see what Progressive have, but Racetech tailor make rears to weight and riding style. Decisions.....

I have that combo on my 13 cvo king.
They handle great but ride a little stiff. Mine are also 1 inch lower than stock.

I had an opportunity a few years ago to ride a friends Kawi Nomad for a few days. I had the Vulcan 1600 Classic that I added bags, lights, and backrest to, so they were really close to being the same bike. The biggest diff was I had the stock suspension and he had switched to Racetech shocks. I couldn't believe how much better his bike handled than mine. I would have switched mine, but I had other issues with the bike so I traded it for my first HD, a Heritage. Now I have a CVO Road King that came stock with the HD Premium Ride shocks. I like them, but if they ever go, I'll probably replace with Racetech. He also swore by their customer service.

I have a 2013 FLHTCUSE8 and have been running -1 mono-tubes and 944 in tandem and have been very happy with the results over stock. 

I haven't tried all the other options out there so I can't comment or give a true comparison but there seems to favorites for every group riders just like with cams.....

Progressive have posted the new 2014/2015 Touring model monotone kit, but it does not fit the SERK. They have no immediate plans to produce one either. So it will be Racetech or heavier oil and see how that goes.

Well I had the 944 shocks fitted and heavier fork oil and I have to say I am very pleased with the results. Long sweeping corners now track very true, bumps are absorbed rather than throwing the bike off line and the lurch onto the front forks is far less pronounced. Are there better shocks out there, probably but at a price point and given the significant improvement over stock, this was money well spent.

The more I ride my '15, the more I think that's correct.  I felt I was getting some front tire bounce.  Mechanic suggested dropping the front air pressure a couple of pounds from max.  It helped.   I would like the front end a bit stiffer so will likely try the fork oil solution.
