Newbie for how long
« on: February 23, 2015, 05:48:03 PM »

When does "NEWBIE" status go away on this Forum ? How many posts move a person from a NEWBIE to an actual full fledged CVO Forum Member ? With over 40 years of Riding experience and a member here for coming up on 3 years, I am really looking for the NEWBIE moniker to go away, just feels kinda degrading :(

John you don't have to feel degraded.  Some of our newbies have more miles in the saddle in the first half of their life than some of the veteran forum members get in their entire life.

Kind of like the Iron Butt Riders Ass.  I don't have to collect gas receipts or take pics of me and my bike to prove that I've ridden a certain distance in a certain amount of time.  Those that's rode with me know what I'm capable of and visa versa. :2vrolijk_21:

Some newbies on this forum go in to the introduction board and spend half a day welcoming other members...some are newer than them and some have been here much longer than them....they're just not reading the first post to know.  That's post stacking...nothing more.

But.....for the record....you're almost over the hump on this forum.  ;)

Hi Chains, wow, North Dayton, small world !!  Unfortunately, North Dayton today isn't what it was when you grew up there !!! Are you familiar with the Shiloh area ? I have lots of friends from the North Dayton area, as we live North also. Stay warm !!!
